A new product from ZA/UM’s collaborative merch store, in partnership with Atelier, is drawing attention: a €159 carrier bag inspired by the video game Disco Elysium. Dubbed “the last carrier bag you’ll ever need,” the bag is reminiscent of the protagonist’s utility pouch used to collect bottles for cash in the game.
The bag’s description emphasizes its functionality, stating that it offers reassurance to those navigating life on tough streets, aligning with the game’s themes of hardship and survival. Previous products from this collaboration include a replica of the character Kim Kitsuragi’s jacket, showcasing the store’s focus on unique, game-themed merchandise.
Constructed from Dyneema fabric, the bag boasts strength claims of being up to 15 times stronger than steel on a weight-for-weight basis, and offers superior tear and tensile strength compared to other materials. While its price may raise eyebrows, supporters argue it is a worthy tribute to the game’s cultural impact.
